Bottle cap is an important part of food and beverage packaging, and it is also the first place where consumers come
into contact with the product.
Bottle caps are widely used in bottled products due to their ability to maintain the airtightness of the contents, as well
as their anti-theft opening and safety functions. Therefore, bottle caps are a key product for packaging in the upstream
industries of food, beverage, alcohol, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
For non carbonated caps, use a cap torque tester to seal them with the rated torque that meets the sealing requirements.
Use a cap sealing tester LT-03A to test the cap sealing performance. Apply pressure to 200kPa and hold it underwater for
1 minute to observe if there is any air leakage. Then increase the pressure to 350kPa and hold it for 1 minute to observe
if the cap is loose and pops out. Require no air leakage at 200kPa and no cover detachment at 350kPa.
For the carbonated cap, use a cap torque tester to seal it with the rated torque that meets the sealing requirements, cut
off the anti-theft ring, and use a cap sealing tester LT-03A to test it. Apply pressure to 690kPa and hold it underwater for
1 minute to observe if there is any air leakage. Then increase the pressure to 1207kPa and hold it for 1 minute to observe
if the cap is loose and pops out. Require no air leakage at 690kPa and no cover detachment at 1207kPa.
According to customer requirements and in accordance with GB/T17876-2010, Shandong Puchuang, a manufacturer of
bottle cap testing instruments, has developed bottle cap testing equipment suitable for bottle cap factories, packaging
factories, and quality inspection units: bottle cap sealing tester LT-03A, bottle cap torque tester PNY-20. Below is a brief
introduction to the experimental equipment and testing methods corresponding to the bottle cap testing items.
1、Bottle cap sealing tester LT-03A
The bottle cap sealing tester LT-03A adopts the principle of positive pressure testing by injecting a certain positive
pressure gas into the sample bottle through a special fixture. After a certain holding time, the instrument automatically
determines whether the sample is sealed properly or the maximum pressure value during bursting. Suitable for testing
the sealing and rupture strength of various materials such as anti-theft bottle caps, aerosol valves, composite hoses,
packaging bags, composite cylinders, composite paper cups, sterile medical equipment packaging bags, etc. The bottle
cap sealing tester LT-03A can achieve multiple experiments such as end cap detachment force, anti-theft bottle cap
sealing, creep test, creep rupture, aerosol valve sealing, creep to rupture, aluminum tube sealing test, etc. by replacing
the corresponding fixtures. Sealing instruments are widely used in industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals,
food, packaging, and quality inspection.
2、Bottle cap torque meter PNY-20
The bottle cap torque meter PNY-20 fixes the sample bottle body on a specially made torque fixture, and the bottom end
of the fixture is fixed on the torque sensor inside the test box. By rotating the bottle cap to drive the bottle body, the torque
sensor reacts to test the torque value required for clockwise or counterclockwise rotation of the bottle cap. Suitable for
testing the torque values of bottle cap locking, opening, and tightening of packaging products such as penicillin bottles,
medicinal plastic bottles, beverage bottles, mineral water bottles, baby bottles, and edible oil drums. It is widely used in
bottle cap production, quality inspection centers, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and other industries.
3、Automatic capping force gauge PNY-20A
The PNY-20A automatic capping force tester uses an automatic rotating cap to drive the bottle body, thereby causing the
torque sensor to react and test the required torque value for clockwise or counterclockwise rotation of the cap.
In daily life, bottled items are widely used, and bottle caps are important indicators to ensure the integrity and reliability
of product packaging. Professional bottle cap testing instruments are used to control product quality, ensuring the
sealing, applicability, presetting, and fatigue resistance of bottle caps.
