The main components of raw materials for producing lithium batteries include positive electrode materials, negative electrode materials, separators, and electrolytes.
1. Positive electrode materials: Among positive electrode materials, the most commonly used materials are lithium cobalt oxide, lithium manganese oxide, lithium iron phosphate, and ternary materials. Positive electrode materials account for a large proportion because their performance directly affects the performance of lithium-ion batteries, and their cost directly determines the cost of lithium-ion batteries.
2. Negative electrode materials: Currently, natural graphite and artificial graphite are the main negative electrode materials. As one of the four major components of lithium batteries, negative electrode materials play an important role in improving the capacity and cycling performance of batteries, and are at the core of the midstream of the lithium battery industry.
3. Diaphragm: Marketized diaphragm materials mainly consist of polyethylene and polypropylene as the main types of diaphragms. In the structure of lithium batteries, the separator is one of the key inner components. The performance of the separator determines the interface structure, internal resistance, and other characteristics of the battery, directly affecting its capacity, cycling, and safety performance. A high-performance separator plays an important role in improving the overall performance of the battery.
4. Electrolyte: Electrolyte is generally prepared from high-purity organic solvents, electrolyte lithium salts, necessary additives, and other raw materials in a certain proportion under certain conditions. Electrolyte plays a role in conducting ions between the positive and negative electrodes of lithium-ion batteries, ensuring their advantages such as high voltage and high specific energy.
Paratronix lithium battery separator testing instruments include PAPT-B02 air permeability tester, ETT-A electronic tensile testing machine, thin film heat shrink performance tester, thickness gauge, micro peeling machine and other specialized industrial intelligent testing instruments for the lithium battery industry.

What is the use of separators in lithium batteries? The diaphragm is used to prevent electrons from passing through, allowing them to only exit the external circuit, which can then cause current. But this membrane allows lithium ions to pass through. The separator of lithium batteries can also prevent immediate contact between the positive and negative electrodes. If the positive and negative poles come into contact immediately, it will short-circuit, which may cause the battery to explode and catch fire. The diaphragm is one of the key inner components and plays an important role.
