Eye drops bottles are plastic packaging containers that come into direct contact with drugs. The quality of eye drops directly affects medication safety, so the testing of related quality control is particularly necessary and critical. YBB00072002-2015 "Polypropylene Medicinal Eye Drops Bottles" specifies the corresponding quality inspection plan, which includes the airtightness index. According to YBB00072002 regulations, the airtightness of polypropylene medicinal eye drops bottles should be tested, and it is recommended to use the PARATRONIX sealing tester LT-02P for testing.

LT-02P sealing tester, also known as sealing performance tester, sealing degree tester, etc., is suitable for testing the leakage sealing performance of packaging bags, bottles, tubes, cans, boxes, etc. in industries such as food, medicine, medical equipment, daily chemical products, automobiles, electronic components, stationery, pesticides, veterinary drugs, etc. It can also be used for leak detection of aluminum-plastic blister packs and sealing performance testing of packaging after drop and pressure tests. It is recommended to use the PARATRONIX Torque Tester PNY-20 for testing the opening and locking force of eye drops bottles. This instrument is a specialized device for testing the locking and opening torque values of bottle caps for packaging products, suction nozzle packaging products, and hose packaging products. It has high measurement accuracy and good stability.

Testing process:
1. Take 3 samples of eye drops to be tested, and use a torque meter to tighten the bottle caps of the samples with a torque of 60N · cm.
2. Immerse one of the tightened specimens in water in a sealed container, apply a layer of water on the sealing ring of the sealing tester, close the sealing cover, and ensure good sealing of the equipment.
3. By evacuating the vacuum chamber and setting experimental parameters to achieve a vacuum degree of 20kPa, the sample immersed in water is subjected to an internal and external pressure difference, which is maintained for 2 minutes. According to the standard YBB00062002-2015, there should be no water ingress or bubbling inside the bottle.
4. After reaching the set holding time, the equipment performs back blowing to release pressure, takes out the sample, and checks whether there is water ingress inside the sample. If there are no continuous bubbles on the surface of the sample during the test and no water ingress inside the sample, it proves that the sealing of the sample is good.
