Sealing leakage testing method for packaging bottles of electric mosquito repellent liquid

Mosquito repellent liquid is a new method of mosquito control after spray and mosquito repellent incense. Its main

components are pyrethrin, solvent, stabilizer, essence, etc. Pyrethroid is the main active ingredient in mosquito

repellent liquid, which can paralyze the nerves of mosquitoes and achieve the purpose of mosquito control. However,

it is less harmful to the human body and can be excreted through metabolism after entering the body. Therefore,

mosquito repellent is deeply loved by people.

Test significance:

Mosquito repellent liquid is generally used in combination with electric heating elements, that is, electric mosquito

repellent liquid. It can evenly disperse the effective ingredients of mosquito repellent liquid in space at a specific

temperature, and can be used continuously for a long time. A bottle of mosquito repellent liquid can be used for 20

to 40 days, which is very convenient. At the same time, high requirements have been put forward for the packaging

design, material, and sealing of electric mosquito repellent liquid. One of the most common issues with mosquito

repellent is leakage. During the storage and transportation process, mosquito repellent liquid is inevitably inverted

and bumped, leading to packaging leakage. Even changes in temperature and air pressure during transportation from

cities with low temperatures to cities with high temperatures or from plains to high-altitude areas can increase

packaging leakage rates.

Testing instruments:

The Paratronix LT-02P sealing tester is a professional instrument suitable for sealing tests of packaging bags, bottles,

tubes, cans, boxes, etc. in industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, daily chemical products,

automobiles, electronic components, stationery, etc. It can also perform sealing performance tests on specimens

after drop and pressure tests. The instrument adopts digital preset test vacuum degree and vacuum holding time

to ensure the accuracy of test data; Adopting automatic constant pressure air supply to ensure that testing can be

carried out under preset vacuum conditions; Support automatic feedback uninstallation and automatic end of

experiments to ensure the smooth progress of the testing process.

The testing principle of this instrument is to evacuate the vacuum chamber to create an internal and external pressure

difference in the sample immersed in water, observe the gas leakage inside the sample, and determine the sealing

performance of the sample; By evacuating the vacuum chamber to create an internal and external pressure difference

in the sample, observing the expansion of the sample and the recovery of its shape after releasing the vacuum, the

sealing performance of the sample can be determined. This instrument complies with multiple national and international

standards such as GB/T 15171 and ASTM D3078.

Testing process:

Put an appropriate amount of distilled water into the tank of the LT-02P sealing tester, place the test sample in water,

cover the sealing cover of the vacuum chamber, set the maximum pressure value to -90 KPa, turn on the vacuum pump

to start vacuuming the vacuum chamber, and start the test. Pay close attention to the condition of the sample, observe

whether there are continuous bubbles overflowing or liquid leakage. If no such situation occurs, maintain the set pressure

value for 30 seconds and continue to observe. If there is no continuous bubble generation or liquid overflow, it indicates

that the sample is well sealed.

Summary:

By testing the sealing performance of mosquito repellent packaging, it is possible to prevent and control mosquito

repellent leakage in advance. The Paratronix LT-02P sealing tester can be used to test the sealing performance of

mosquito repellent liquid packaging, which can effectively and intuitively judge the packaging quality of mosquito

repellent liquid. Mosquito repellent liquid is only a typical representative of daily packaging containers, and this test

method can be followed for sealing performance testing of other plastic packaging containers.
