How is the friction coefficient meter tested? Below, Paratronix Technology, a manufacturer of friction coefficient
meters, will share this issue with you.
The current method for detecting the friction coefficient of soft plastic packaging materials is usually based on the
"Method for Measuring the Friction Coefficient of Plastic Film and Thin Film".
When using this method to test the friction coefficient, in order to ensure the accuracy of the test results and to truly
reflect the friction coefficient of the sample, the following four points need to be noted.
Firstly, during the process of cutting and assembling samples, the test area of the sample should not be touched by
hand. The surface of the cut sample should be smooth, without scratches or wrinkles;
Secondly, the clamped sample should be tightly attached to the surface of the slider, and the degree of tightness should
be kept as consistent as possible;
Thirdly, when placing the slider with small specimens on the test bench or specimen, the direction of relative motion
between the two specimens should be parallel to the test direction, and the force measurement system of the equipment
should not be subjected to any force;
Fourthly, when using a friction coefficient tester to test the friction coefficient between soft plastic packaging and the test
bench, the test bench should be carefully wiped three times in one direction with an alcohol swab before the test to prevent
oil stains, dust, and other contaminants from affecting the test results.
